What type of insurance is this?
The LocPlus insurance primarily aims to guarantee you in case of cancellation, modification, or interruption of stay, as well as in case of damage to the rented property owned by the owners.
What is covered?
The guarantees benefit the insured within the limits of the
amounts listed in the Guarantee Table of the Particular Conditions.
CANCELLATION / MODIFICATION / INTERRUPTION GUARANTEE:
Guaranteed systematically:
✓ Health accident or death of the tenant or a close person, or the person responsible for the professional replacement of
the insured or their spouse, or the person responsible for childcare.
✓ Dismissal, job transfer, cancellation, or modification of leave dates by the employer of the insured, obtaining an employee job or a service mission.
✓ Water damage, fire, explosion, theft rendering the insured's home or business unusable and requiring their presence on-site.
✓ Site closure due to natural disasters, technological disasters, terrorism, pollution, storm, wildfire, riot.
✓ Administrative summons, medical summons, or resit exam in the context of higher education or adoption.
Extensions of coverage acquired based on the choice of the tourism professional or the Owner:
✓ Cancellation or Modification for all justified causes
✓ Thermal treatment
✓ Good arrival of the tenant
PROPERTY DAMAGE GUARANTEE:
✓ Personal effects of the tenant in case of fire, explosion, or water damage
✓ Property of the owner.
CIVIL LIABILITY GUARANTEE:
What is not covered?
X Dismissal for gross misconduct,
X Any event occurring between the date of purchase of the
guaranteed service and the enrollment in this contract,
X Pregnancy except for complications arising from this condition
(miscarriage, delivery, and follow-up)
X Cosmetic treatment (except due to health accident),
psychic or psychotherapeutic treatments, including
nervous breakdown unless hospitalized,
X Property damage and theft of vehicle more than 48h
before the start of the stay
X Wear and tear.
Are there any exclusions to the
coverage?
Major exclusions (unless otherwise stated)
! Intentional act or negligence of the insured,
! Lack of uncertainty,
! Any health accident or death resulting from an epidemic
or pandemic recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) or any competent authority in the country of your permanent residence or any country you plan to visit or cross, originating from an infectious pathogen unknown at the time the coverage commences,
! Quarantine, border closures, and/or individual or collective movement restrictions decided by a competent authority,
! Foreign war and civil war,
! Direct or indirect effects of explosions, heat release, irradiation from the transmutation of atomic nuclei of biological or chemical nature,
! The consequences of serious bodily accidents that occurred
before the start of the insured's coverage,
! Accident caused by practicing sports professionally as well as aerial sports, bobsleigh, skeleton, climbing, ice hockey, motorsport, scuba diving...
! Accidents caused by alcoholism, intoxication, the use of medications,
drugs, non-prescribed narcotics.
! Thermal treatments.
Main restrictions
What are my obligations?
Failure to comply with the terms of the insurance contract may result in its annulment, non-coverage, cancellation, reduction in claim compensation, or loss of guarantee:
Upon signing the contract:
• Provide all required supporting documents and answer questions asked by the insurer or its representative
• Precisely declare the identity of the tenants.
• Pay the premium due under the contract.
During the contract:
• Report any new circumstances that may worsen the covered risk or create new ones.
In the event of a claim:
• Report any claim that could trigger one of the guarantees and submit all documents necessary to assess the claim.
• Report a claim as soon as you become aware of it and at the latest within 2 business days for theft or 5 business days for any other event.
• Notify any other guarantees purchased for the same risks in whole or part with other insurers, as well as any reimbursements you may receive in the event of a claim.
When and how to make payments?
• The premium is payable in advance at the date specified by the Insurer or its representative.
• Payment is made via credit card, bank transfer, direct debit, or check.
When does the coverage begin and when does it end?
• The contract becomes effective at the time of reservation and ends at the end of the stay as specified in the rental contract.
• The contract is for a fixed term with no tacit renewal.
How can I cancel the contract?
The commitment is firm and final, with no possibility of cancellation.
However, in accordance with Article L112-10 of the Insurance Code, the insured has the right of withdrawal if they subscribe for non-professional purposes to an insurance contract complementing a good or service sold by a supplier, and they can withdraw from the contract without fees or penalties, as long as it has not been fully executed or the insured has not invoked any guarantee, within thirty calendar days from the conclusion of the contract. If the insured benefits from one or more free insurance premiums, this period begins only after the payment of the full or partial first premium. This right does not apply if you declare a covered claim to the insurer during this 30-day period.
